As I've mentioned before, I'm trying so far to spotlight different mashup artists rather than posting multiple songs at different times from the same artist. You know, there are many different people out there who do quality work, and I want to try and point out many of them.
One guy who I'm surprised I haven't mentioned yet is DJ Axel, an L.A. based artist. Besides having a cool handle that references a famous movie character, many of his songs are worth hearing. In the "music" section of his website, if you click on it there's a popup which offers up a dozen mashup downloads. You might as well download all of them, although I personally like best the Nelly-Fat Joe vs. Cheryl Lynn, the Motley Crue vs. 50 Cent, and the Judas Priest vs. LL Cool J/J-Lo mashups. I'm glad he's still around doing his thing and making tunes. The fact that he often uses rock songs (especially classic rock) in his work... real groovy.
I'll be back on Wednesday the 13th with me mentioning another mashup artiste.
